Great News! New Construction Office Honored at the 33rd Chinese Architectural Golden Stone Award
The New Construction Office of the Taipei City Government’s Public Works Department has once again received recognition. The commissioned “Taipei Municipal Daan Junior High School Comprehensive Teaching Building New Construction Project” was honored with the Chinese Architectural Golden Stone Award in the Construction group of the Outstanding Public Construction / Outstanding Space Revitalization category. The award ceremony was organized by the Chinese Architectural Golden Stone Award Committee and held at CPC Corporation’s Guoguang Conference Hall on September 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The design concept of the “Taipei Municipal Daan Junior High School Comprehensive Teaching Building New Construction Project” centers on embodying the school’s modernity, diversity, foresight, warmth, vitality, cloud, and humanistic values, while fostering a safe and comfortable learning environment and supporting refined teaching development. The building comprises six above-ground floors, housing 64 teaching spaces (including 45 general classrooms, 15 specialized classrooms, 4 special education classrooms, and a library), as well as 20 administrative offices. In addition, two underground levels accommodate a public parking facility with 223 car spaces and 52 scooter spaces, meeting the needs of both the school and the community. Since its completion and inauguration, the building has provided students with a high-quality campus environment that is safe, humanistic, diverse, memory-preserving, intelligent, energy-efficient, and sustainable. In alignment with the school curriculum, it inspires students to pursue their dreams, broaden their learning, and connect with the international community, earning recognition from teachers, students, and parents alike.
