The Dihua Sewage Treatment Plant collect sewage from housing units of the Taipei city, such as wastewater from toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and floor washing. Collected sewage undergo multiple procedures, such as barscreens, primary settling, biological treatment, secondary settling, and the process of disinfection. To the final step, recycled water go through sand filter tanks to ensure the water quality maintain with government’s effluent standards before distributing.
