According to Item 3 of Subparagraph 2 of Article 7 of the “Taipei City Handling Public Construction Removal Compensation and Autonomous Ordinance”, it states: “No removal handling fee shall be paid for such type of illegal buildings after the date of August 1, 1988.” However, according to Paragraph 2 of Article 21, it states: “For an illegal building between the dates of August 1, 1988 and December 31, 1994, the person with the disposition right shall receive the self-relocation administrative remedy fee at an amount of NT$ 390,000, and in the event that such person vacates and hands over the building within the time limit to the city government, then for the portion of each floor below the 3rd floor and with a removal area within 165 square meters, an additional self-relocation administrative remedy fee shall be further paid at an amount equivalent to 20% of the legal building reconstruction price; provided that no additional payment shall be made for the portion exceeding the specified area and floor.”
